iPhone batterij besparen: 10 slimme tips die écht werken

Je kent het wel: je vertrekt ‘s ochtends met een volle iPhone, en halverwege de middag zit je alweer op 20%. Gelukkig zijn er manieren om je batterijduur flink te verlengen. Met een paar slimme instellingen en gewoontes haal je het maximale uit je iPhone. Hier zijn 10 bewezen tips om je iPhone batterij te besparen – zonder dat je functionaliteit hoeft op te geven.

1. Zet automatisch helderheid aan

Je scherm verbruikt veel energie, zeker als de helderheid constant op maximaal staat. Ga naar Instellingen > Toegankelijkheid > Beeldscherm en tekstgrootte > Pas automatisch aan en schakel deze functie in. Je scherm past zich dan automatisch aan het omgevingslicht aan.

2. Gebruik donkere modus

Donkere modus ziet er niet alleen stijlvol uit, het verbruikt ook minder energie op OLED-schermen (zoals bij iPhone X en nieuwer). Je activeert het via Instellingen > Beeldscherm en helderheid > Donker.

3. Schakel achtergrondactiviteit uit

Apps die op de achtergrond blijven vernieuwen, trekken ongemerkt je batterij leeg. Zet deze uit via Instellingen > Algemeen > Ververs op achtergrond en kies ‘Uit’ of ‘Alleen via wifi’.

4. Zet locatievoorzieningen slim in

Niet elke app hoeft je locatie 24/7 te weten. Ga naar Instellingen > Privacy en beveiliging > Locatievoorzieningen en kies per app ‘Bij gebruik’ of ‘Nooit’.

5. Zet push-notificaties uit voor overbodige apps

Elke melding zorgt ervoor dat je scherm oplicht – en dat vreet batterij. Ga naar Instellingen > Meldingen en schakel meldingen uit voor apps die je niet direct nodig hebt.

6. Gebruik vliegtuigmodus bij slecht bereik

Als je iPhone moeite heeft met het vinden van bereik, gaat de batterij extra snel leeg. Zet tijdelijk de vliegtuigmodus aan als je op een plek bent met weinig signaal.

7. Vermijd extreme temperaturen

iPhones presteren het best tussen 0 en 35 graden Celsius. Zowel kou als hitte kan je batterijcapaciteit tijdelijk (of permanent!) aantasten.

8. Zet ‘Hé Siri’ uit als je het niet gebruikt

Voice-activatie luistert continu mee en verbruikt energie. Ga naar Instellingen > Siri en zoeken en schakel ‘Luister naar “Hé Siri”’ uit als je dit zelden gebruikt.

9. Update je iOS regelmatig

Apple optimaliseert batterijgebruik vaak bij nieuwe updates. Zorg dus dat je je iPhone up-to-date houdt via Instellingen > Algemeen > Software-update.

10. Gebruik energiebesparingsmodus

Dit is de snelste manier om je batterijduur te verlengen. Je activeert het via Instellingen > Batterij > Energiebesparingsmodus of via het Bedieningspaneel.
